With around 600 (at the time of writing) Champions for players to command, it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that many of these Champions have some degree of resemblance to real-life people, and fictional characters. We’ve put together some of Teleria’s Champions with who (or what) we think inspired their appearance.
Drop a comment below if you know of any more Champions that bear a close likeness to someone outside of the game!
Foli and the Bio Boosted Armored Guyver not only share a similar appearance, but even Foli’s skillset includes names such as ‘Biodisruptor’ and ‘Living Armor’, cementing our assumption that Foli draws heavily from the Guyver anime.
Rihanna has a unique look that we think Head Taker has been able to emulate, albeit, with a lot more colour.
“Skin white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair black as ebony.”
Disney’s Snow White may be a soft spoken Princess, but Teleria’s Snow White inspired Champion is a dual wielding warrior.
Today just so happens to be Friday 13th, which is the title of the movie our Masked Champion takes his inspiration from. Jason, the knife wielding, hockey-mask wearing maniac even got a shoutout by one of the RSL mods today on discord (well, the movie and date did!)
Aina’s appearance is probably not inspired by Hong Kong singer Gloria Tang Sze-wing, but we have to admit, there is some similarity between the two.
Sethallia is strikingly close in likeness to this beauty icon and respected actress.
Ninja (Richard Tyler Blevins) and Ninja
Ninja is a promotional Champion, that was available to all players for free during a short period of time in 2021. The content creator, Ninja, worked with the Raid Shadow Legends team to bring his character to life.
Ronan Keating and Belanor
This Irish born entertainer certainly could have pulled-off a good Belanor cosplay back in his younger days
Jake Gyllenhaal and Fenax
Fenax comes across as an older, battle worn Jake Gyllenhaal Doppelganger.
Harry Styles and Harrier
Harry and Harrier? Long brown hair? Chiseled jawline? These two have a few things in common.
Saito and Cerberusarms
Just like Ninja, Cerberusarms visited the guys at Plarium and was honoured with a unique in-game Champion with his likeness. Check out his really cool video about the whole event.
Marked and Lagertha
Lagertha from the hit show ‘Vikings’ and Raid Shadow Legend’s Marked share a similar hairstyle and face paint.
Hercules (The Rock) and Berserker
The Rock dawns a not-so-ferocious lion head pelt mounted on his head in the 2014 fantasy movie ‘Hercules’. In my opinion, Raid’s Berserker looks a lot more intimidating.
Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) and Scrapper
Andy Whitfield’s role as Spartacus in the Stars’ TV series of the same name has him looking pretty much identical to the Barbarian Faction‘s Scrapper.
Medusa and Mithrala Lifebane
Plarium’s take on the Greek Goron Medusa, like most of their character design, is top notch. Mithrala Lifebane offers a classic yet fresh take on the monstrous Gorgon.
Marilyn Monroe and Madame Serris
Considered one of the most beautiful women in the western world, Marlyn Monroe and Madame Serris have some facial features that are just too similar to ignore. Specifically, the nose and the placement of the mole.
Nightwolf and Wanderer
Slap a headband onto Wanderer and these two would be near indistinguishable, apart from those massive pointy ears.
Satan and Lord Shazar
To be fair, there are many variations of the Devil that look like Lord Shazar, but Tim Curry’s Satan from the movie ‘Legend’ has a special place in my heart.
Storm (Hallie Berry) and Athel
Hallie and Athel share a very interesting hairdo, as well as a slender and long face.
James Mcavoy and Apothecary
If James sported the same expression as Apothecary, I’m sure the likeness would increase 10-fold!
Frankenstein and Miscreated Monster
Mary Shelley’s reanimated abomination being public domain means that Teleria is graced by his presence, which is good news for players, as Miscreated Monster is one of the best Champions in Raid Shadow Legends.
Jamie Lannister and Romero
Let’s hope Cersei doesn’t make an appearance in Teleria anytime soon.
Scarlett Johansson and Juliana
Perhaps any generic blonde beauty can go here, but we feel as though Scarlettt and Juliana’s eyes and face shapes are too similar.
Kitsune and Yumeko
Yumeko is based on the Japanese Goddess, Inari Ōkami. She is the protector of foxes, among other things. Which makes sense, considering her battle partner’s name ‘Karato the Fox Hunter’.
Al’Ian Mandragoran and Karato
Daniel Henney as Al’Ian Mandragoran from Amazon’s ‘The Wheel of Time’ could easily portray Karato in a televised adaption of Raid Shadow Legends.
Arthas the Lich King and Wurlim
Wurlim seems to take inspiration from World of Warcraft’s Arthas the Lich King. Although, I’m sure Arthas took inspiration from another source, perhaps from someone with a ring or something.
I was gonna say Halle Berry favor battle sage and for the berserker go with the Q.Shaman. Nice site btw. I’m grateful for the resource.
I was gonna say that Aleksandr the Sharpshooter is the spitting image of that CS gamer S1mple.
